We have a KZ Spree 265 KS. I have heard several different opinions about running the refrigerator on propane while traveling. Any thoughts?

I ALWAYS run my refrigerator while traveling. There are a few states that prohibit running anything on propane when going through a tunnel or while refueling.
My 2 cents. PS, I've been doing that since my first camper, about 15 years.

We also run ours while on the road and never had any problems. They are set up to run while on the road.

We use ours on weekends and the, not-frequent enough, week-long vacation. We start loading, and cooling, on electric at home prior to leaving. Once we disconnect, it switches automatically to propane (Providing you have the bottle open). Never had any isses going down the road. Don't really give it much thought again until I shut it down when we get home.
As Joecamper points out....you have to be careful with local laws, and it is recommended to shut off the fridge prior to fueling (fire hazard should it spark to start and the area be saturated with fumes). Truth be told...I forget this part all the time!!!! Normally remember after I get going again, then I do my best Homer....DOH

We too run ours on gas while going down the road. They are RV's. They were built for operation while moving.
