Hello everyone, my family is in the market for a travel trailer. We are wanting a toy hauler but don't like the idea of putting the machines in the sleeping quarters where the kids would be.
I have a couple questions if anyone can help
1. Can a sidexside fit on the front deck?
2. With the tongue weight at 308, how much would adding 1300lbs on the deck add?
3. How' is the quality of these units?
Thanks for any advice or information as we are first time buyers

Most if not all states have a law about the width of something going down the road. You would need to measure bumper to bumper to see if the side by side is less then 8'. I am sure the tires would fit on most of them but they might be to wide at the bumpers. We bought a 2014 CRC210 brand new. The quality was very poor. Our dealer did everything they could to keep fixing it but the closest dealer was about 130 miles round trip which requires 2 trips anytime service is needed. 1 trip to drop it off and one to pick it up. Every single trip out we had stuff either stop working or fall off the trailer. It got really expensive taking it to the dealer. KZ was was awesome and helped to make sure that the issues were addressed but after spending so much money on fuel going to the dealer and back we finally decided it would be better to get rid of the trailer. We did end up buying another KZ of a different line and we are waiting to see how it holds up. It seems that maybe we got a dud and it was limited to that trailer. KZ was so good to deal with that we stayed with that company even with all the problems on the first unit. As far as tongue weight I think you be OK with 1300lbs. If you figure 2 four wheelers you would be close to that weight anyways. I never saw anything that says there is a weight max for the deck but other brands do have weight limits around 1000 pounds. There are NO tie downs on the CRC210 on the deck so you have to weld in tie downs or go through the ramps to under the frame. The weight of the unit suggests that it is 1/2 ton towable but because of the HUGE space between the truck and trailer it is like dragging a parachute. We towed this unit with a 1/2 ton and it was not able to safely do it at least in the mountains or the wind and I have a cdl so I am used to towing weight. We changed to a 3/4 ton and it tows it better but it still is hard to pull if the head winds are above about 20mph. If you are OK with this situation then I would get one of these otherwise look at one of the KZ toyhaulers. Or a lightweight vision or spree and put a deck on your truck for toys. Overall KZ seems like a great company just make sure you have a good dealer.
