We have a 2021 Durango HT. The end of the bar countertop can get some sun exposure through the door window. The thin covering over the counter base appears to have shrunk a little and is loose on the edge or end. Any recommendations for softening it up and re-gluing? It feels pretty rigid. Stairs to bedroom have same issue on front of the tread.

I had that problem on my 270thle. I masked the edge of the 'laminate' and bottom of the countertop and carefully squeezed some super glue in the gap. Used a toothpick to spread it evenly in the crack. Just protect the cabinet and floor to catch any drips. I used the glue with the thin tip. Pressed the edge firmly in place.

if it is formica, and glued tradionally, it could be heat activated, you might be able to reset the glue be heating it, either with a heat gun, and pressure, or an iron, just be cautious.

Thanks. Mine is not formica, but the thin vacuum formed plastic. I will try the super glue with appropriate protections. The challenge is if I can glue my fingers to the countertop or not.
