Has anyone figured a good way to close the back of steps so the dogs don't slip through in their exuberance to get inside? Currently using a non slip runner with clips but it presents other issues. Thanks in advance...

We replaced our rigid Lippert steps with Torklift Glowsteps. Love them. One option that we passed on were the vinyl (?) riser safety backers. Essentially, they attach to the back of the steps to fool the pup into thinking they are solid and won’t worry about or step through the voids. After 2 or 3 very deliberate leash-on and slow walk up the steps, our 60lb crazy pup breezes up and down with no issues. I do make her sit at the top/bottom each time prior to having her use them. Seems to calm her. I have always made her go-slow on stairs in the event my advanced age requires a guide dog and she gets pressed into official service! 😎

We use this product that they use on boats. It has adhesive on the back, cut to fit. Works great KXKZREN EVA Boat foam flooring. It’s on Amazon

Another glow step user. My service dog just had leg surgery and I put a folding dog ramp from the ground to the third step.
