Went out last week for a 3-day week end in the 2011 14rb. Lucky the temp. was cool. The AC has (as they say in Australia) SPAT the DUMMY. The compressor will not start. All else runs fine. MY Question, and I have thought this over many times and looked at all options. HOW do I get the dang thing out. It is the Frigidaire 5,0000 BTU wall mounted. I have taken off all the outside surrounds and guards. Inside I have removed the plastic front cover, PROBLEM 1 No way the unit is coming out that way (to the inside) with out some major destruction. The unit sits in a wood cabinet that matches the cabinets in the trailer. JUST NOT MY WEEK.

During reassembly, modify it and assemble with screws so there will not be demolition next time. It should have been built that way when installed.

Well Demo was avoided this time. Was looking it over one more time and noticed it was not straight in the opening gave it a tug so that it sat straight, and it started to slide out to the outside of the rigg. Someone had felt that a lot (A LOT) of RTV would work to hold this in place. kept cutting the RTV loose and sliding the AC out. And it finally let go. Some minor wood touch up and all is fine. NOTE the AC unit was removed to the OUTSIDE of the rigg NOT to the inside. The unit was replaced with a Midea AC which IS a direct copy in all aspects as the Frigidaire 5,000 btu ORG Equipment. I found the Midea @ OLLIES for 99$. Yes, it is a remanufactured unit, but, it worked fits like a clove and I have a working AC. WE! are happy campers. Side note take your time and go slow, YOU can do it! Thanks to all for your advice and guidance. KZ tech was a no help.
