We brought a 2023 kz connect limited edition 331. From the 1st trip we had problems. The recliners came right off the wall. The TV in living room fell off the wall. We couldn't open 2 windows. Took to service department and has issues taken care of. 2nd time using unit all grease on all slides. The rubber around slide in bedroom completely ripped. The rubber around kitchen slide ripping. Toilet was leaking, so we put a washcloth under it every night. Cabinet wood around refrigerator totally bent out off of around refrigerator. Cabinet kitchen the hinge to close it broken. We were told by kz representative that things fall apart when you drive down road. Really? We've had plenty of trailers to know this isn't true. Our trail is again in for service for all the things that fell apart on our second time using unit. While at campsite I noticed no other trailer with all black grease on their slides. Only us. Totally disappointed. I hope this is our last service call

Welcome to the Forum from South Carolina. Assuming the grease is coming from the wheel bearings. Does it have the "EZ-lube" setup? Things fall apart on the road, when they were not built right the first time. If you take it off road, that's another story.

WOW, sorry to hear about your bad luck. We have a 241RLK and have had only one issue we had to deal with. That was a leaking front window and the black mold that followed. KZ was great about it, since it's a know problem. The Dealer on the other hand, not so much. They did get the window fixed after lots of prodding on my part. I ended up getting my trailer back and all the parts and did the mold repairs myself. Sounds you got a trailer that was built on Friday afternoon at beerthirty. Good luck. Keep plugging away. I'm constantly upgrading and fixing little issues myself. An RO (reverse osmosis) system is on the docket in the coming weeks. Also, we got rid of our sleeper sofa and bought the recliners. After having the recliners sliding around I put firring strips under the recliners. To lock them in place. Once again little fixes.

Jayhawk I'm really not sure what all that grease is from. All I know is when we put slides out they are full of grease. The rubber that goes around the slides are all ripping off and I see black grease. Maybe the stuff they put around slide to prevent water from coming in was not installed correctly. I truly love this trailer but the manufacturers of it did a poor job. I forgot to mention the whole bedframe also came apart. I noticed it was only held in place by staples. It's like a nightmare. I regret this purchase. I gotta say my warranty service guys are great. I'm just hoping they resolve all my issues. If not I will get in touch with better business bureau.

I started doing a brake inspection today. I found the inside of the brake drum covered in grease. I found out that some brain surgeon pumped the spindle area full of black graphite grease. Which is the wrong grease for wheel bearings. So, I would guess that's where your grease marks came from. The black grease is not bearing grease. I would strongly suggest to have your wheel bearings repacked with red bearing grease. Also, go have your trailer wheels balanced. They're not from the factory.

Sounds like it was one of those caps with a grease zerk on it. Those work fine on small boat trailers without brakes and the grease can displace the water that gets in there from launching boats. My opinion is, they have no place on any other type of trailer, especially ones with brakes. I would never grease a wheel bearing on my TT using that grease zerk. All it does is push grease out through the back seal, which gets all over the brake pads and makes the brakes useless. Then you not only have wheel bearing problems, but you have to replace all your brakes also. Yes, the bearing grease should be red, but if it's black, it's been burned from heat by bad bearings. If it's white, it's been diluted by water. Either way, it needs to be replaced.

After inspecting all 4 wheels...all wheels had the black grease. Luckily, no grease on the shoes. Got new wheels seals, removed all the black grease, repacked bearing with red bearing grease. Used 4 big cans of brake cleaner. Brake magnets show some wear which is normal, but not bad. Put everything back together. Now just have to pump the brakes to get them to readjust. What a pain in the a$$. Took me a while to figure out how to put the adjusting cable back on. Normally deal with car brakes.
