AC compressor not starting. AC fan runs can hear the compressor try to start (cycle) just a Humm and then kick out. Breakers do not trip. A few minutes later it will repeat but the compressor will not start. A bad start capacitor? or This is in a 2011 sportsman classic with the AC on the side of the rig. How would I get to the start circuit to trouble shoot or repair?

That's a very good possibility that the capacitor is bad. If you have a good meter that can read farads then you can check the capacitor. If not it's a lot cheaper to replace that than a compressor. I do caution though before touching the capacitor you need to disconnect the wires and take a screw driver or piece of wire and touch terminal to terminal, this will drain the capacitor. Capacitors hold a lot of electricity and can give a serious shock. Or call someone that's familiar with AC units

Have not removed to trouble shoot the A.C. as of yet. A suggestion from a friend was to check the LOW PRESS. switch or the unit may be low on freon. or R12. OH well 65 * days and low 40 nights don't need it yet.

OK! How do I remove the side wall mounted Frigidaire AC? I have looked it over 20 X studied it for days. MY uptick is it removes from the outside. SO, if one of you could help with some instruction please jump in. I have found, 4 same model ACs new in box for sale just need to get this one out to trouble shoot before I go that route. THANKS

Time to start the demolition. Found a replacement AC @ OLLIES for 99$ same size same BTU (5000) looks exactly the same as the Frigidaire ORG. EQUIPMENT. Store had other BTU units but this is what we wanted HOPE, fingers crossed this goes well. Still looking for any ideas on removal with MIN. Damage. This AC sits in a cabinet that matches all the rest of the woodwork in the rigg. KZ Tech was no help.

YEAAAA! The old AC is out and the new one is in and working. The AC we found @ OLLIES is the MADIA Brand. It is the exact sameo, sameo as the Frigidaire ORG. Deconstruction was not needed much. Someone felt that a whole lot of Constuction adhesive along with a few tubes of RTV would be fine. BONUS,,, It removed from the outside NOT the inside. That is why we did not have to tear the cabinet apart. This I found out by Accident, Happy accident. We are back to being happy campers.
