We traveled to Big Bend this weekend. I lost a TST valve stem pressure cap. Funny thing is, still showed a pressure and temp even today and its been off the trailer 5 days. Do I trust the others or even the TST system as whole anymore? Thanks, Kirt

I'm not sure if I understanding your problem. On my unit if the tst unit is turned off and back on it would never connect to the sensor if it's not there, so it couldn't give a reading. Highly unlikely but could you have a sensor programmed to two different tire positions. Not knowing the type of sensor your using, flow-thru or cap sensor. If your using the flow-thru, a missing valve stem cap wouldn't affect your readings.

At least on my Durango, TST tire pressure monitor has sensors located inside the tire, opposite side of valve stem. I know this because I just programed the sensor on my new Durango two weeks ago. If you read the pairing instructions, it will give you this information. The caps are just to show the sensor is in that wheel.
