We have a front living fifth wheel with carpet in the front. Has anyone taken out the carpet and replaced with other flooring and or has anyone replaced the carpet on the stairs with rubber treads? I can’t find any that would fit ours.

I know lots of people have replaced carpet with laminate / vinyl flooring, but I have no clue how to do it. That's why I hire pros. :-) Lyle

Since vinyl laminate is a floating floor and needs to expand and contract, no glue or nails, you need to leave about a 1/4 inch gap around the perimeter, and then cover the gap with molding. As far as the stairs, you can buy laminate nose trim for the stairs. As laknox said, if you want to use rubber treads, buy over sized ones and trim to fit. These will need to be glued down. I did the kitchen, dining room and hallway in my house with vinyl laminate. Not hard, but time consuming.
