An 'Open Frame' generator of any size won't be "comfy" due to NOISE... for you or your neighbors. I have a Champion 3100 Inverter generator, it is quiet and I like it. It is near 100# but not a problem for me to handle. Your needs may be different.

I have two Honda 2000 watt generators I can use one if just charging batteries, watching tv or just about anything else but if I use the microwave are A/C unit then pair them up and run both.

Might have to run in non-eco mode or the battery charger running while the A/C starts could cause it to trip. Better yet, a 4k genny would be better. > 5k to run 2 A/Cs. Adding soft starts to the A/C (s) and even a load controller could help, too. Lyle

Have you had any problems with your unit, and I'm thinking that it's transported in your truck bed? **think this unit is on sale at HF at the moment.** thanks JL

Enough to run at least 1 A/C and just about everything else without a problem. The one thing I find surprising is that they don't offer a remote start dual fuel model. Lyle

Costco has them [/quote] The largest dual-fuel that Costco carries, is the A-i 7100 watt unit. Looks like a nice unit, but reading the reviews, it gets 15% 1 and 2 star ratings and 79% 4 and 5 star ratings. The 5500w Champion is running $1100 at Bass Pro or Cabela's and is =much= more quiet than the A-i. Champion also has an 8500w dual-fuel that can be bought on Amazon as of today, 3-18-24, for $1,759.20. $ / watt is excellent! Don't discount the Harbor Freight Predators, though. Lyle

Look at the Predator 3500 or larger at Harbor Freight, the 3500 is about $800 and they can get as large as 9500 inverter. The inverters quite the open frame are work generators Ok if you camp alone as they will disturb neighbors.
