Hi,from Lee and Sandi,in New Castle,Delaware. We bought the 19 ft classic. I just retired and we got it for economic reasons and ease of towing and mobility. I've done tents,popups,28ft TTs and33ft TTs. Did seasonal parking and moving around. Haven't camped in about 6 yrs. We are SHOCKED at what campgrounds are charging now. We have access to a lot of ocean and bay camping areas which is nice but,,,for example in Cape May NJ,, some campgrounds want $65.00 a nite for a no hookup tent site!!!! The average hookup sites are $75.00 a nite!!! Delaware is cheaper but from Memorial day to Labor day they have 7 day minimums! Anyhow so far we love it. You get what you pay for and I think, for the money I paid for it, it is well worth the investment!!!LOL!! We're called trailer trash for a reason,,,economics,,and you can not enjoy the great outdoors,,no matter where you live,,,in a hotel!!!LOL!!!

Welcome Lee and Sandi, Wow, those prices... Since you're retire try coming west, campgrounds are about 1/2 . Also, you may want to check out some clubs such as Passport America. For about $44. a year there are alot a member campgrounds that give discounts during the week. Also, check out your state park system, they're normally less.

If you want camping value, try the camp grounds in Ontario Canada where elec/water sites run $40 to $50 Cdn and the US dollar is worth $1.10 Cdn. Come and see Olympic gold medalists in both men's and women's hockey AND curling!!! We also have 4500 camp grounds in Ontario with close access to the finest fishing in the region
