Engineering at its best!!! We are traveling for the first time in cooler weather (we’re from Oklahoma where it’s always hot) and had to use the heat for first time in our 2022 Connect 241RLK.
Set the thermostat, heater comes on as it should, warms main area and bathroom, but before the bedroom gets warm, heater shut off.
There are 4 vents in a RLK… rear of trailer in front of the recliners, directly under the thermostat, bathroom, and bedroom. Yes you’re correct, directly UNDER the thermostat.
Placed a shoe over the vent and problem solved. Now my question is, do they make a blank floor plate? It’s approximately 2” x 12”.

I would use some cardboard from the back of a pad of paper, or some 7mil plastic over the hole and hold it down with the floor plate.

Being a heat vent, wrap the bottom of the vent cover with tin foil. Your other choice would be to find a household vent the same size that has the ability to close.

piece of cardboard with a weight = $0. floor register with closure at menards = $10. Your choice.

I don't know if I would completely block the air from the vent, as it sounds like the shoe restricted it just enough so the thermostat wasn't overwhelmed, you need to have adequate air flow thru the burner or the furnace will over temp and shut down.

I replaced mine with ones that can be opened/closed as wanted. Measured and went to Home Depot and purchased ones for bricks and sticks.

Thanks all for your suggestions!! Friend of mine contacted me with an Amazon vent cover listed. It should be here tomorrow and I will give it a test run, then pin a follow up on how it works. Thanks again.

Yes please!!! Need that info so I can get some for my 241rlk. I just placed a runner rug over the thermostat vent. I also replaced the thermostat with a house stat. The OE one is not reliable at best. Guess the designers of these trailers are not users. The one in the rear of the trailer should be forward about 2-3" so it's not hitting the front of my recliners.
I also did some research on the floor vents to see why there wasn't much air flow from the vents. The duct is about 12-14" wide and runs the full length of the trailer. I put a borescope in the duct to ensure there was no blockages. I did find alot of debris from the build process, vacuumed that all out. I did see that the duct from the furnace to the main duct has a small opening. So that is one restriction. Wish I could get to that and fix it properly.
If you find yourself camping in cooler/freezing weather, take an electric heater and put it in your bedroom or bathroom so you can get some extra heat.
