2023 KZ Durango Gold G391RKF There is a screen on the left side of the entertainment console. I need to run electric wire around or through it for my sub-woofer. Is there a way to temporarily remove the screen, or do i have to cut it? AND...when I looked through the screen to the rear of the compartment THERE IS A HUGE CUTOUT! Do I need to leave it open, or can I cover it up? What is it there for? I can only imagine the air loss with such a large void.

If you remove the fire place you should be able to access the raceway to run your wire. As far as covering that area where the screen is I'm not sure if that's an air intake for the fireplace place or it was just a cut for the raceway and they put the screen on for decoration.

Pretty sure that would be an air intake. Test it with fireplace on and see if a tissue gets sucked onto the screen and stays there.

I'm sorry, but that's just tacky. Were we looking at that rig, my wife would reject it outright for that. Unless, of course, the rig came with Sam Elliot as an "accessory". :-)

Actually I believe it is also cold air return for the furnace. We have a 2021 391 RFK . Bruce

If you can get back there, you could add a mesh screen like we use for our air conditioners. That would allow airflow and block the view.
