Having had some issues recently roadside with being able to loosen lug nuts of a wheel on my F150 I am wondering if the lug nuts on my trailer might exhibit the same difficulty if all I have is the 4-way lug wrench I carry. I have a torque wrench now that adjusts from 10 - 150 ft lbs. Where would I find the proper torque value for the travel trailer?

I set mine to 110 ft. lbs. with an extension to reach the lugs. You could carry a breaker bar with the right sized sockets for both your truck and the camper tires. You can get the cheap one from Harbor Freight which should take care of you in a pinch on the road. www.harborfreight.com/12-in-drive-25-in-breaker-bar-62729.html

My owner's manual had the torque specs. Could also contact KZ directly. FWIW, I've been carrying a breaker bar, extensions, sockets and a torque wrench since my 2nd year of RVing, when I had to change a tire on the side of I-17, N of PHX. What I =really= need to start carrying is my Dewalt cordless impact and drill. :-)

I have it and all the sockets I need for my truck and each trailer I tow. Camper, boat, and two snowmobile trailers.

What I =really= need to do is to head to HF and duplicate all the stuff in my "travel box" so I can return my "good" Craftsman and Proto tools back to my main box at home. I don't have a 1/2" impact, just the impact driver, but it's pretty potent. I =have= been thinking about getting a 1/2", though. Lyle

Torque sticks don't really work with breaker bars or ratchets, you can just keep tightening as there is nothing to stop you from over torqueing (I guess you could paint a stripe on them lengthwise, and stop tightening when the line isn't straight). Torque sticks depend on the "hits" from a impact driver that causes them to twist length wise (like a spring) and limit torque.

Here is a link to the Dexter Axle service manual, Page 74 lists wheel torque, but Dexter recommends the wheel manufacturer provide torque requirements. Dexter Axle

You can go to the KZ website and find your manual online. The torque specs are listed there. I just did this a month or so ago when I replaced my tires.
