I have a 2021 170MB … MB for Murphy bed … has anyone here ever opened the side table/boxes that hold the folding sofa mechanism and has a locking cable for the bed? I am looking to see if I can create storage there.

I have a 2022 170MB and thought about the same thing. I thought about just building a drawer at the top, but decided against it since it seems to be more trouble than it would be worth. The outdoor storage goes up into the side stands and would take away what little space there is to start with.
