Hi, good morning! Had a little incident during the last camping trip and our handrail got jammed sideways into the RV. i.ibb.co/y6s2R1P/20230905-144151.jpgDoes anyone have any experience repairing something like this? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Did it push the interior wall in? What I see as the major issue is the wall stud could be crushed which would complicate the repair, but the handrail might have just pivoted around. Are the mounting screws still intact or did they pull out? So, let's assume the best, the screws are just pushed over, they still have some "bite" and the stud really isn't damaged. The next question how invisible you want this repair to be. If you want it to be invisible you are going to have to go see a pro. If you don't mind a reminder, (after fixing the foam in the wall & doing some minor fiberglass work to seal the exterior) you could have an aluminum plate fabricated, maybe 4"X 6" -sized large enough to span the damaged area, paint to match then use some automotive panel adhesive to stick it to the exterior. Reuse the existing handle screws to help hold the panel tight. I would have two of the plates made, one for the top of the handrail, the other for the bottom - so it looks a bit more factory or intentional.

Hi. I didn't notice any damage or deformation on the inside wall, but I'll look closer. The lower part of the handle is a little loose.
Thanks for the information! I appreciate your time!
