Hello from Missouri. We've owned our KZ Venom Toyhauler for 2 years now. It's been a decent camper w/very few issues. Was wondering if anyone out there has removed or has any suggestions on how to remove the adjustable bed in the bedroom to replace w/a normal bed. Ours was the RV King adjustable bed which is awful! When we got to looking at it the platform underneath isn't even wide enough to support the king mattress. Looks like to us it was orignially set up for a RV Queen and they just threw a king matt on it. Trying to decide if we should just remove it or build a new platform. Any thoughts out there would be appreciated.

Ours did not come with an adjustable bed but with a conventional king mattress, a very BAD king mattress! The space between the mattress and the walls/closet doors was minimal so we opted to switch it out to a good quality queen bed. I removed the platform, cut it down, rebuilt it, then added a mattress that we had bought for our previous 5th wheel. We sleep much better and have an additional 6 inches down each side of the bed. If you want to keep the king, fine, but I have had to rebuild the platform on every 5th wheel we’ve owned for one reason or another. It’s a very easy project. Good luck with whatever you choose!

Our experience pretty much mirrors Jfspry58, except we replaced our original mattress by having an RV king mattress made. But as we have aged, we found we needed something softer, so we just bought a standard queen, my next project is to cut down the platform. As been said- not all that big a project.
