I purchased a new e19sb in April. It was manufactured Dec 9, 2011. It did not come with a privacy curtain by front bed or a valance over kitchen sink window. I notice that photos of both 2011 and 2013 19sb models have these. Did I miss something?

Seems to me that I do remember seeing a pic somewhere with an SB having a kitchen window valance, but not a sleeper curtain. In any event, mine did not come equipped with either one. Haven't been in the trailer since fall, but I think I determined the reason for the lack of a valance was interference with something, perhaps even just visibilty from the kitchen window.

With regarding the lack of a valance over the kitchen window. I own a 2012 E19SB and it too does not have a valance at this location. When I called the factory to inquire about this I was told that they no longer install kitchen window valances do to fire codes. Something about the proximity of the two burner stove top. This quite honestly makes absolutely no sense to me, due to the fact that ALL the materials that are surrounding the stove top in my trailer are of wood based material or plastic. I am only passing on what I was told. I have gone to Home Depot and a fabric store, bought the appropriate materials and am now in the process of making and mounting my own.
As per the privacy rod and curtain. I took my cue from the gentleman who has posted all his trailer improvements with photos on this site. Expandable rod from Bed Bath and Beyond, light weight shower curtain from the same source, plastic rod pockets from Home Depot. Twenty minutes to install. Put one across the double bed at the front and also have one that can be deployed if and when the dinette is converted. They work well.
