I have a 290 and pull it with a F250 6.5 bed. I went with the Andersen Ultimate Hitch model 3220. andersenhitches.com/product/ultimate-connection/ I went with the AUH because it is light weight and easy to remove. If you will be leaving the hitch in the trailer you might want to go with the B&W companion.

I always recommend the B&W hitches, though I have no experience with clearance of the bed with the Ramboxes. I know that in years past, people would have to grind or torch off the back corners of their pin box to give clearance with the beds. The box on my rig doesn't have the low corners and it was one thing I was concerned about when I had to raise the box 2 holes to level my FW with my '22 Denali. Lyle

B&W you will never be sorry. I have had Reese & Husky and will never go back, the B&W is solid, no checking, and smooth hooking and unhooking. I have had it bind once since 2016 and to release you just "pin" it in the open position and drive out, pined open it can not stay locked. (it's in the manual) You will hear it's heavy, yes but it's easily separated to two pieces, but both together are about 100lbs so easy lift for two, wife and I before I put a lift in my shop. Now I wrap a chain and push a button lift out of the pucks and drive out. The lift was not for the hitch specifically but other heavy stuff gets moved around in a shop, head ache rack, fuel tank etc.

Sorry, I don't have a Rambox on my 2017 Ram, but I do have the 6.5ft bed (short) and use a Curt Q20 Slider hitch with my K-Z 290rlt. The only concern I'd have with this hitch is the handle that you pull to engage the slider, with you having a narrower bed, I'm not sure if it'd hit against the bed when pulling it out. when I get home tonight, I can measure it and post the numbers.

So I took some pictures last night but for whatever reason this forum won’t allow me to post them no matter how small I make them. Anyways, as long as your rambox doesn’t go past where the wheel well would be, then I see no issues with you using Curt with the slider. Even when operating (pulling out towards the bed rail) the slide lever, it never came close to the wheel well.

I have a 256RKT and tow with 2500 ram with 6.5 ram box. (Storage on each side only Ram has this. I had the ram puck system installed and use a B&W companion. I had the dealer install a Reese sidewinder to the trailer pin box. I can turn past 90 degrees without the pin box touching the side of the ram box or the cab of the truck. The only issue is the B& W companion is set at the lowest and most forward position and still travel with the trailer front high not level, this is due to the height of the 4X4 truck box. I do have 35 inch tires but stock suspension on the truck, only raised the height of the truck 1 inch as stock tires are 33 inch.
