Recently, we noticed that the aft air conditioner on our 2019 DG 356rlt was not blowing cold air. The fan works fine but the compressor is not coming on. I've done some troubleshooting and have validated that the compressor is good, and the start and run capacitors are good. I have also validated that there is not power getting to the compressor. After some more checking, I have discovered that the yellow wire going to the AC control panel has no power, when it it should have 12v DC.
I have found the other end of this yellow wire down in the front pass through on the ceiling where it comes out of one of the little module boxes. When I select the air AC to come on, I hear a little "click" from the module, and I do have 12v DC on the yellow wire to the inop AC. So, It looks to me, like I have a break in that yellow wire somewhere between the fwd pass through ceiling and the aft AC unit on the roof. I have no idea how this cable is routed, or how I would go about figuring out how to find and fix the issue. I'm going to rout an external wire of my own from the pass through up to the connection on the a/c control panel to verify that the compressor comes on, but if/when that works, does anyone have any thoughts of how to trace this wire and find where the issue is? I'm going to pull the aft pass through wall today, since the routing goes that direction, but after that I'm stumped. We are leaving on Monday for 3 weeks on the Oregon and Washington coasts, so I can probably get by without the 2nd ac working, but I'll need to fix this eventually. Thanks for any Help, Rick

I actually resolved the problem. Inside the bundle of wires with the yellow wire (about 5 different colored wires) was a blue wire that was not being utilized. I think it would be used for a heat strip in the Ac unit, but we do not have one installed. I used that spare blue wire to connect to the 12v yellow wire coming off of the module in the pass through, put a connector on the end at the AC unit, verified that I had 12v, and connected it to the AC control board where the yellow wire would normally go. Turned on the AC, and the compressor came right on, and we had cold air again. Lucky for me that there is a spare wire there to do this as I don't know how I would of found out where the yellow wire was broken. Rick

Nice work trouble shooting. Too many just run to a repair shop and cough up the $130 and hr or more.
