Hi all,
I am getting mediocer performance from my main ac unit - might be from the bedroom as well but its smaller room and cools off ok. Is there anything beside cleaning the coils and checking freon ? Is there a filter for the air going into the vents somewhere ?

There is a filter on the intake for each AC handler. Usually on the ceiling unit itself but it seems like my 2007 had intake filters near the outside walls. They get dirty and will inhibit cooling for sure. A flashlight will reveal which vents are actually intakes if filters are present.
If not, all the dust etc the filter would have caught is in your cooling coils.Curious as to how your slide floor came out?

Mine has 2 returns on out sides of ceiling in main area and in bedroom. I took the covers off and there are no filter cloth etc in any of them ! I have not looked at evaporator yet as Im waiting on Amazon to deliver cleaner tomorrow. I hope I just find a dirty coil and clean it and get better air flow. Fingers crossed.
Floor came out good. I made one mistake and didnt replace rubber wipe edge under floor before I put it all together. Other than that it works like a charm. I could probably have it done in a day now that I know what it involves.
