In all honesty... my brand new Durango Gold (2022 model) purchased in February 2023 has been in the shop more than I have had it in my possession. I am scheduled to pick it up from the dealer on Monday morning. I have had it in there on three different occasions! The one reoccurring problem is one of the slides. It just seems like it cant be adjusted right. The shower drain leaked all over the baggage compartment the first trip out. The material they used for the steps up to the upper lever are made out of composite, and one of them was bad. Just a host of things. I have to say my dealer has been really good to work with about it. KZ sent me a "Customer Satisfaction Survey" at the wrong time. I was not kind to them. I have drafted a letter I am going to send to KZ, but I want to address it high enough up the chain of command that someone with some power actually sees it and not some flunky whose job it is to weed out such letters. It's not like I'm really nitpicking or its my first RV. I owned three Dutchmen prior to this. Much less expensive than the KZ I purchased. COMBINED, they all had fewer problems when I took delivery of them than this KZ. I really expected better, but I should have known that wouldn't be the case. Due to the experience I have had, I would not buy another KZ product, and I wouldn't recommend anyone else buy one either. Buyer beware!

We're it me, I'd post the letter you write to every RV forum you can find. I do know that KZ monitors this site as it's provided by them. KZ staff will occasionally pop in with a comment, but not often. Lyle

My 280TH will be 2 yrs old in dec & I'm still vacuuming sawdust that comes out of vents! Other than some of the holes for thermostat etc that look like they were punched with a hammer & some loose trim, it's been reasonably well put together for a covid product! Only re-occurring issue was fuel tank control that promptly quit working while full of fuel & 2,500miles from home! Excellent dealer service quickly got another one when trip was over but it too quit shortly after install. Figured best route was a simple toggle in the filler bay.

We bought a new 2023 261RB Connect in June of this year and first night camping window leaked, stabilizing jacks fell off in lawn, slide out was uneven, missing screws in door. Went back to dealer in July and is still there. Said slide was fixed, and when we went to pick it up it was worse. Slide out has been removed three times and is still not level. Floor staples fell out and they repaired but slide still unlevel with no way to level it. Now told slide out needs a whole new floor. What a piece of JUNK! We are at our wits end, and will probably have to get an attorney involved.

Again, IMO, this rig needs to go back to the factory for repairs. Even then, were KZ a truly stand-up company, they'd simply buy it back, fix it and put it up for auction. You'd =hope= that rigs this poorly built would be addressed by the upper management and the floor managers, but we all know that that won't happen; they just shove these things out as fast as possible and chuckle on the way to the bank. We did contact KZ directly, and they were going to send the inquiry over to the production dept. and request more info from the dealer. We contacted the dealer and they are supposed to look at the floor again and contact KZ again for direction as to what needs to be done to solve the problem. We are making an in person visit tomorrow to the dealer to see what they have heard from KZ to solve the uneven floor. I totally agree that KZ should buy the unit back from us or at least replace it with a new one that is free of defects.

I know that a lot of people who have issues with any product, simply won't have another of the same. I really hope they come through for you, but I'm not holding my breath. After the way they treated one of the senior members here, and one of KZ's biggest cheerleaders up to that point, it will be interesting to see how they treat you. Lyle

Trust me when I say it’s not just KZ forest river , genesis , Thor they all have the same problems it’s the manufacture shoddy workmanship because people who do the work just don’t care anymore , I just purchased a used 2012 KZ spree 261rks and it’s still holding together after all these years then my 2023 genesis vortex toy hauler ( which I paid 63000 ) and took a loss because they just aren’t worth it anymore craftsmanship and quality are not part of the standard anymore we are living in a thrash and throw society think I’ll stay with the old ( also bought a 2023 palamino truck camper ( all aluminum frame is the only reason I bought it other then that cheap cheap cheap )

Purchased a scope to attach to our IPad. It appears that there is no duct from the furnace to our living area heat duct. We have one duct coming out of the back of the furnace. It goes directly to the bedroom area ducts ( 2 ducts within 1 foot of each other. Don’t understand that set-up?). Appears that they ripped apart the solid duct work right where the flexible duct work enters. I will post pic in another post. File too big to post.

Your heater will be similar to this, and my have hoses off. The opening shown was a slot I opened to add a duct to my living area.

Is that a cold air return beside the heat "register"? We had a 2018 Aliner Scout that had the AC under the rear bunk. The 2 air ducts and return were under the bed when you pulled the bed out, forming a cave. Nothing escaped it to cool the camper. I finally drilled out the fire extinguisher mount by the entrance door, with 18 each 1" holes, and made it the return. I covered the old return under the bed.

Yes it's the cold air, heat gets into the basement and one of the ducts is actually open in the basement. Summer I put a cover on it to keep the cold air up in the living area along with closing all the floor vents.
