I picked up a 2022 3500 HD Denali a couple of weeks ago. I just got my new B&W hitch in today and it looks awesome! Haven't tried hooking it up to the trailer yet. Probably next week. Main question I have right now is I need a toolbox. My brother has a behind the wheel well pork chop box as well as an in front of the wheel well deep box. His biggest complaint about those tool boxes is that they are so wide that he cannot get a 4 by 8 sheet of plywood to lay flat. I've looked at some of the Cross bed tool boxes that have a very shallow lip to go over the bed sides behind the cab but I'm afraid that I still may hit it. Any suggestions would be awesome. I do want something large enough that I can fit my gooseneck kit in it as well as some basic tools, jumper cables, tie down straps, etc. I've thought about one of the flat boxes with drawers that would sit on the bed behind the hitch, just inside the tailgate, but I know nothing about them.

This is my 2015 F350, tanks L shaped 80gallon tank and a cross bed tool box. I also bought a 2022 F350 that I have put a tank and tool box in, it's 75 gallon L with the cross bed. I went gravity feed on the new truck, still learning with it, took 2 hrs or more to refill a quarter tank. I talked to someone with a gravity and he said when towing open the valve at 1/2 and keep towing, I can get pictures of the new setup you want. The system is supposed to have a check valve that can be left open over night or always. Until I know in my mind it will not "over fill" I will be there to make sure it doesn't. When I carry 4X8 sheets I just leave the tailgate down

A "little expensive"? DW is already benching about the new B&W kit. Hmm... Wonder if I could find one at a pick 'n pull. Lyle

I doubt if you will find one at pick&pull. These are for the new body style only.
Here's another option. The also show a set of two.

I know that both sides are available, but it's interesting that they advertise this listing as a "passenger side" yet the picture shows the driver's side. :-) I need to look this up outside of Amazon, though, as the dimensions are totally wrong. I met a guy last weekend with a new Tundra that has a pair of them as a factory option. As I originally said, I've got a '22 Denali, so that should be the "new body style". I guess I need to change my sig, now. Thanks, gwinger. Lyle

Looking at this one: www.uwsta.com/part/EC10001. More money, but I really like the double latches with single handle operation. Opinions? Lyle

I like tool boxes but they block hitch visibility from the mirror or third light camera...otherwise functional and allow the full length of the bed for lumber and the like. A swingout box on the drivers side would block your 7 pin connection but the passenger side seems ok and not that expensive.

Biggest issue with them is they narrow the bed enough that you can't lay a full sheet of plywood flat. My brother found that out with his F350 and the behind-the-wheel drawer box. I =do= use my truck for other stuff. :-) Lyle

Thanks for all your replies, folks.
After researching for the past couple of days, I'm going to go with UWS box I posted. Only issue with it is that I'll be lining Lippert's pockets.

Lyle I went with that box due to the room for tools. I looked at tank boxes but went I see 9" deep and how narrow I went with an L shaped tank that the box sits above by inches. I went gravity flow this time as the pump could make contact with the front of the RV. Still learning this system, that lines small and 2hrs plus to fill a 2/3 tank in the truck. Installer said when towing open at 1/2 tank and keep going, I have left it on over night with no issues, the system has a check valve to stop flow.

At this stage, I just don't see the need for an aux tank as this tank is 36 gallons, 11 more than my '02 2500HD. Neither of our bladders will last that range so the only real use for an aux would be to take advantage of prices. I always take at least one fuel can; not hard to make it two. :-) Should we ever decide on a trip that remote, I'll just pick up an aux tank with a separate pump and stop and fill. Hell, now that I think about it, I've already got the pump and filter at my shop. :-) Lyle

Yep price was my main reason, I have relatives in high dollar states and I can skip buying in them. With a 48 gallon tank and the mileage the newer 6.7 are getting I may not have needed the auxiliary tank. I was just used to the 2015 and it's mileage so I just put the aux tank in. Not sure what they did but 10-12 mpg to 17-21mpg, same truck, Lariat CCLB 6.7 4X4 power stroke. I have to say this gravity thing will take some learning, I had a 8GPM pump in the last one. With on board fuel and an average MPG of 18 I'm looking at a 2200 mile range. I can watch price as I travel with all the apps for the smart phones.
You may want to out a carpet in the bottom of your tool box the aluminum gets on everything that rattles around. The box is also tall enough to carry a spare DEF box, when I empty it I refill at a truck stop so it stays relatively new. Buddy bought a Denali I think is the same year during covid, we met at the AZ / NM line so I could check it out, loved it. Got to ride in it end of last year when we spent a week in Santa Fe kicking around. Lots of gadgets on his but he's a gadget guy, head-up display and cameras all around. He went with a tank pump/toolbox combo, box is just too small for mush but some straps, etc no real room. Enjoy you new Denali and goodies!
PS: what color? Pictures please, his is a deep maroon.

Not sure if a DEF jug will fit. Haven't yet had to add any. About 50%, per the dash.
Will get some pics posted soon. Truck is Frost White.
Tool box came today. Will get it installed later today or tomorrow.
