Primarily on half tons, what kind of gaps do you typically see between your slide and the outside wall? (Say, taken halfway up the slide) Mine are about 13/16 to 15/16 at the middle from the outer edge of the molding to the rv wall.

My D250RES is about 7/8” consistent on the rear side. On the lead side it about 7/8” at the top and about 13/16 at the bottom.

I have a D290RLT it is about 7/8" on all sides with the exception of the driver side rear and that is only about 7/16". Really a little tighter than I think it should be.

So, I take it that +/- 7/8" is the norm.
