My Norcold fridge works fine on electric, but as soon as I switch it over to LP it makes a faint click noise and it shutsoff (light inside goes off), and I get a blinking red light on the control panel on the front of the fridge. If I turn it off/on and it switches to electric mode, it will work fine again. Any suggestions?
Thanks, Mike in MI

They still need 12v to power the electronics. IIRC they need at least 9v before they quit. Is it still plugged in when switching to gas?

Yes, it is still plugged in. It will stay on for a second but then shutsoff, and it makes no attempt to light or anything.

Could be air in the lines, stove work? Propane in the tank(s) and turned on?

Bugs in the vents?

Cleaned everything and purged all of the LP lines, everything else that takes LP is up an running fine. I'm beginning to think it is the control board. Might replace it and see if that fixes it. Beyond that it may be time to call a repair man.

Look up your unit on line and see if they have a trouble shooting section in the manual.

Finaly found the fix. I had to replace the entire gas train assembly. Not exactly sure what was wrong with the other original one, the solenoid works when it is supplied with power, but it wouldn't allow the fridge to work gas so something is wrong with the solenoid.
