Why did KZ put a window in the front of my 170MB? With the bed stowed that window is useless. With the bed down I'm usually sawing wood so again that window is useless. Are there any other why did they do that's?

My guess is that the shell was designed to accommodate different floor plans. It just didn't fit your particular floor plan all that well.

We have a 170MB and ours doesn’t have the window but I wondered the same thing. I guess there are some that would like to look up at the sky from on the bed but it seems to me anytime you put a hole through the camper wall, for what ever the reason you open up the chance for water intrusion. We are happy that the dealer we bought our unit from opted for the option of no window and also a 110/LPG refrigerator instead of the 12volt refrigerator.

Not that I didn't notice till now, But on my 170 MB why did KZ put the black water dump valve where you have to lower the left rear stabilizer to pull the valve. So far I'm liking my trailer, just a little inconvenient to have to lower the stabilizer to dump.

I have a 2022 KZ170 MB and don’t have to lower the stabilizer Jack to dump the black water tank. My valve pulls to the rear of the trailer and is awkward to pull and is close to the bottom trim. If not careful you can get a nasty cut from the trim. I have covered the rough edge of the trim to avoid this.

We specifically ordered our 2021 170MB without a front window since we thought it didn’t make sense to have it. As a RV Tech it would seem to me to be fairly easy to remove the window and replace the aluminum siding. A big job but actually simple.

I did think about that for just a few seconds before I came to my senses. More trouble than it would be worth. On my last trip we left the bed down a couple of days and the window was kind of nice to have.

I just have to lower the jack about half way, then the valve will pull out fully. Must be a difference between the 2021 and 2022 models. I'm used to it now, just a little inconvenient. Did you notice KZ removed the bathroom sink in the 2023 model of the 170MB?

I just looked at the KZ site and they show the 2024’s and sure enough the sink is gone in the bathroom. Not sure I like that because the medicine chest is also gone as is the storage under the sink. Unless they have made changes to the wardrobe closet and enlarged it and added maybe drawers, I seems to me more of a minus than a plus. I also noticed that the pull release for the bed is gone, replaced by a latch on the top of the side table. Don’t know why, perhaps the pull release was not working ( mine only latches about 50% of the time) or their reasons but the new latch on the top of the side table seems like it would get in the way of using the side table.
