The weatherstripping on the nose of our trailer is separating where the nose meets the side of the trailer. Anyone else have this problem?
TIA

Please post a photo of the problem area. Yes, post a pic. Is it the weather stripping, or the decorative strip that covers the screw holding the metal trim in place?

The weather-stripping appears to hide or protect the metal channel's screws. It started 'bunching' out of the channel at the roof line and I sealed it with black Dicor self leveling caulk a 3 weeks ago, went on a 5 day trip and noticed more severe 'bunching'. Sealed it with Gorilla permanent (HA!) weatherproof (again, HA!) tape for the trip home. Tape has held up for about 10 days.
Top 2 pix show starboard side, front channel at bottom with tape peeled back. Third pic shows starboard side at roof line repaired with Dicor. Starting to separate. Last pic shows port side at roof line repaired. Starting to show some separation.
Except for roofline , port side not showing continuation of separation down the front of the nose.
I've looked extensively but with no success for a product to buy so that I can replace this weather-stripping. Any suggestions?
Thanks and Safe Travels!

Attached are pix of the problem. Thanks for the interest! It might just be decorative but it sure seems to me that it's functional. 60 mph driving rain is a little concerning. (of course, I'm pretty freakin concerned about driving 60 mph in the rain, anyway, so...)

That’s decorative only. The rail is sealed and so are the screw heads. It’s bunching up due to expansion and contraction with the heat and cold. You may have a screw going through it and each end to hold it in place. That screw may be sealed too. You can buy it by the roll in various colours. Maybe remove old stuff, clean up the rail and install new ones.

Not to start an argument, but the screws are not sealed. It's not decorative, it serves to seal the molding. The official name for the stuff is insert molding and it comes in various thicknesses and quality. The better stuff is thicker and is less prone to shift around, so it fits into the aluminum molding much better. A good RV dealer will have insert molding or here is a link: link

They actually started to fall out of the channel. This is why I said that they were decorative. Sure when new they will seal.

It is decorative. The metal strip the screws hold down is what actually seals the joint. There is a sealant strip that covers the complete inside of the metal strip. This squeezes out some and also seals the screws when they are tightened down. That "insert molding" is just a decorative cover over the screws. I've been replacing that stuff on trailers back to when I rebuilt the top and the box on an old '77 popup. It is getting much cheaper lately. My molding on my '99 Wilderness lasted over 10 years. My 2020 KZ lasted two years. Anything to save a buck and to hell with quality.

KZ calls that stuff "screw cover". My 2022 connect has 3 strips that has shrunk about 2-3". It's on my list to be replaced. If you replace any of the stuff. Don't stretch it, try to shove as much into the track as possible. Apparently, it's not very UV friendly, so it shrinks up.
