We have a 2022 F35 with Ford's 360 degrees camera option. Haven't tried it with the G391RKQ, but was wondering if that option will provide views of the rear of our 5th wheel. Anyone using that Ford (or other manufacturers' version) 360 degrees camera option with a long 5th wheel? Can you see images of all side and especially the rear area behind your camper? Thanks.

Ford does make an external camera that can be mounted on a trailer and is hardwired into the plug at the back of the truck. Something like this - www.levittownfordparts.com/sku-ymm/2023-ford-super-duty/hc3z-19g490-k.html?gclid=CjwKCAjwxr2iBhBJEiwAdXECw1kuyOtMumMQB0FW8AZ0J6wEtbJuy-z5RZY1YE8zgK492XuNaoXixhoCpAEQAvD_BwE , but you would need to verity fitment. That is the same part number for my 2021 F150. You will have to dig around a little to find the details of this kit. The link above says "without TPMS", but I think you can get TPMS with it also. There is a -F and a -E part number. On my accessories list it says ML3Z–1A189-E: Electrical, Trailer Camera/TPMS with YAW and ML3Z–1A189-F: Electrical, Trailer Camera/TPMS with YAW less YAW. Those descriptions lead me to believe that both part numbers come with camera, TPMS. But the link above says no TPMS, but then they talk about TPMS in the notes. It is confusing. The Yaw is the sensor used for Pro Trailer Backup that is mounted on the trailer tongue. Just remembered something else, but not all the details. The round plug where the backup assist goes in the back on my truck only has a couple wires connected. This is where the camera will connect. To run the camera you need more wires to the plug, and the harness is already at the back of the truck for it. So you need to buy another cable to supply the extra pins to the plug to get the camera input. I have forgotten the details about that at the moment and will need to search around again. If you search and come up blank I can dig into it again in about a week. Update: I had this bookmarked - www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/any-update-on-a-trailer-tpms-system.4989/page-2 . See the posts by GChurch. He was able to get the correct harness installed on a "non compatible" 2021 truck and get the trailer cam and TPMS working. I am considering this again. I would run the cam wire along the frame, up the ladder, then across the top of the trailer and down to the furrion camera mount. Having the trailer cam on the F150 main screen would be great.

I just looked at this my self, and it only has a 35 foot harness. Counting the height of at least 8 feet if not more from top to bottom plus for a 41 foot trailer, won't be long enough. We ordered our 2022 F350 SD with OUT that camera cause I know there wasn't a long enough cable. Unless Ford has a 60 footer which is what you would need, the OP is better off buying an after market camera system.

I'm not trying to be rude or anything but why all the cameras? There are a number of us here that have driven big rigs, mine was 75ft at 80,000lbs at times. 750,000 miles, 10-12,000 miles monthly coast to coast, not a single camera. I don't understand and really am interested why.
