I would really like to switches for everything. I'm not a fan of the touch pad. When it breaks or needs a motherboard you have a problem a really big one. If there was a backup panel with switches then the problem just got cut in half.

One of the members here did just that, from what I remember it wasn't all that hard, but then I wasn't the guy doing the work. The mention of the switch project might have been in a One Control thread. Perhaps someone might remember where that was or the member who did it might speak up with details.

Switches would be GREAT. I sent an email to one of the district managers regarding this issue. They need a switch in the bedroom that will turn on exterior lights. That way if you hear a sound in the night you just hit the switch and it would light up exterior lights around the camper. Otherwise, you have to get up fumble your way to the electronic pad in the front of the camper to turn on the lights. Not sure who designs these, but they don’t live in the real world. Little common sense in the design. We have gone with solar motion detector lights that we found on Amazon. Put screws in side of camper and will remove/place lights at each campground. Also, they placed a USB charger at the head of the bed with a bright blue light that shines in to your face all night. We have put tape on it. A place for a night light in the toilet closet would be great too.

I completely agree, what's wrong with switches? This fascination with touch screens is beyond dumb. If I were going to replace my 5th wheel today, the need to open an app or boot up a touch screen to turn a light one would make me look elsewhere.

Sorta like the stupid solid steps that store INSIDE the rig or electric awnings. Yeah, the awnings are nice, but I'll be a fan when they can stand up to a 25-30 mph breeze, like my old manual awning. No fold in here, Glow Steps much more solid than the aluminum that came with my 5W. Wife has fallen off the steps once so we added the hand rail, lots more stable going both ways, especially when carrying something. The little squares in the corners of the steps glow in the dark thus glow steps. They sissors closed and the feet on the ground are adjustable for uneven terrain. Love the steps and no debris inside.

I converted to 4 panel rocket switch since we lost communication on control board....Not difficult...Just make sure all wire sequences are fused correctly...
