Hello all, My current 5th wheel has always had problems keeping the rig cool when it is hot outside. If it would be 100 I maybe could get it to 90. It came with 2 air conditioners and I added a 3rd (prewired from the factory) which help some but not too much. As it turns out, this was a problem with this rig as there were plenty of folks complaining about this issue. The design was entirely in the ceiling with the plenum box up where the air conditioner is with nothing inside other than the vents. I had seen some videos regarding doing a modification to the plenum box to funnel the air into the vents. This actually worked pretty well and on a 100 degree day, I could get it into the high 70's or low 80's. You can see what I am talking about here as I documented my fix: It starts on page 4 linkWe have been looking at the KZ Durango Gold 358RPQ. I have found one for a pretty good deal but it only has two air conditioners. I have searched the forums here and can't really find anyone who has posted regarding issues in general with air conditioning problems or anything on the specific model we are interested in. So, my question is do you have two air conditioners and if so, are you happy with the performance on them? If you were going to special order a unit would you order it with three or, based on your experience, would you stick with two? Thanks for taking the time to respond, steve

Your link didn’t go to the correct thread. If you’re talking about the foam in the plenum I did that with my Durango HT D250RES. Big difference in cooling with a single unit. Now you may want to check if the ones on the camper you’re looking at has 15k BTU units. My buddy’s single unit didn’t keep up. He got an AC guy to charge it up fully and it’s way better. Then again we are in Canada and don’t see the 100 degree weather but our campers do get cold.
