I have new D290RLT and will be doing some boondocking and running off of generator. Did a test run today at the house. The A/C comes on but there is a bit of hesitation. I think this is somewhat normal but just curious has anyone installed a soft start on your units.
I have two Honda 2000's that I parallel up.

I take it your AC is a 15k btu unit. My buddy has two EU2000’s and has no issue with his 13k unit. Do you have them in ECO mode where they just idle until you have a power demand? They will hesitate a bit. I have two Firman 2100 paralleled for my 15k unit. Slight hesitation too in ECO mode. Sorry I don’t have any info on a soft start.

As said, take the generators out of ECO mode and try that. If you are at a high elevation, know that the generators lose power as you go higher. If you still have the issue, I would try a hard start capacitor next because they are inexpensive. The soft start devices are expensive so try that last.

I have a 2020 201 BH with the Mach 1300 AC unit -- I had the same question -- I put in the SoftStARTrv UNIT -- Real Easy to install, took me about 30 min -- 5 wires -- no cutting -- I even had an install question and I recieved a Phone call response - from the OWNER - on EASTER SUNDAY last year !!! I run it with an AI Generator (Honda Clone ) 2300 Surge / 1800 Run -- works fine --
