2022 Ford F-350 Crew Cab 8' bed Dully Diesel 2x4 XLT 2022 Durango Gold 391RK
So far, only total rig on CAT scale. Tomorrow will do just the truck. Full tank of fuel (48 gallons). NO fresh water, grey tanks empty, black tank had maybe 15 gallons. Fully loaded like we normally do. Truck had my wife and I, plus 3 dogs in crates in back seat. Portable Generator, and waste tank with 3 X-pens in bed. 2 bikes and an aluminum ladder on back of trailer.
CAT Scale numbers. Truck and Trailer
Steer Axle: 4,800 Drive Axle: 7,260 Trailer Axles: 13,400
Total GVW: 25,460 ------------------------------------------------
CAT Scale numbers: Truck ONLY
Steer Axle: 4,760 Drive Axle: 3,960
Gross: 8,720
If I did this correctly, this is my trailer gross and pin weight. Pin takes some of the weight off the trailer axles.
GROSS: 25,460 - 8,720 = 16,740 for trailer gross weight
Gross of Trailer 16,740
Trailer Axles only - 13,400
------------ Pin weight = 3,340
Truck specs as taken off door sticker: GARW Front : 5,300 GAWR Rear : 9,900
GVWR: 15,200 --------------------------------------------- KZ Spec Tag
STOCK Trailer Gross Weight Rating: 16,000 STOCK Cargo Max: 2,850 STOCK Dry Hitch Weight: 2,570
Of course, KZ doesn't weigh each unit getting ready for shipment nor does the dealer after adding his or customers options. I have no idea what the stock axles weigh nor do I know what the new axles weigh, same for the king pin.
I have the Flex Air pin box with a rating of 16,000 lbs 5th wheel Reese Hitch with a rating of 25,000 lbs
---------------------------------------------
We have a "Flex-Air" pin box MORryde 7,000 lb independent suspension with disk brakes. These axles are heavier than the standard
Are we good, or bad?

I knew I was well within my weight limits but I was curious. 2013 Sierra 2500 Crew 4wd Duramax. 2021 Durango HT D250RES. Loaded camper as required plus 54 gallons fresh water. Other tanks empty. Two 2100 watt generators when site does not have power. Bike rack with two bikes on trailers rear hitch. Only me in the truck with full 36 gallon fuel tank.
Truck GVW 9900 Max Payload 2374 Steer axle 3960 Rear axle 4862 Trailer axle 6644 Total 15,466 GCVWR 23,100
At times I double tow my 2500 lb boat too. Have not weighed axles with boat in tow.
When I had a 1500 and a travel trailer I was pushing my limits. Way more relaxed now that I’m towing with proper equipment.

How did you weigh your truck? Empty or with all the things you normally carry when going camping minus the trailer. Your 8720 seems light for a dually that is loaded ready to go like you mentioned above. You have 3 numbers you must satisfy GVW truck GVW trailer GCW

You’re still under your rear axle rating. I take it you’ve hauled your camper loaded already a few times.

You’re still under your rear axle rating. I take it you’ve hauled your camper loaded already a few times. Been driving it since June of 2022 across the Northern states, back to home base in TN, then down to Texas, and now on our way back to home base for a short time Except for the crap roads our taxes DONT seem to fix, it's done well.
