Help! We’ve had a tankless water heater in other rvs, and had no problem in cold temps. It’s now 23° outside and I can’t get any hot water. Turned the switch off at the water heater and back on, heard it fire up, but no hot water in trailer.

Does the water still flow when you open the hot water side just not hot or you get no water from the hotside?

Yes. I think we may have solved it. Running on the pump, the pressure from the bathroom sink was not enough to kick on the hot water heater. When I ran the kitchen sink in addition to the bathroom sink, I got hot water. This is our 6th rv in 14 years, but our first 5th wheel. The systems are just different. 🤣 We are often in the cold as we head south or go home to the north. Thank you for your quick response.

Have you pulled the screen in the bathroom faucet? There may be debris in the screen slowing the water flow. Tankless heaters rely on a certain amount of water flow to keep them from overheating. By opening another faucet you are increasing the flow. The initial water flow may be enough to fire the burner, but the flow then decreases because of the restriction.
