Hey guys, I purchased a 2018 260BHLE a few months ago. The previous owner never installed televisions in the unit. The decals are still there from the factory, but I can’t figure out how big they are. I’ve tried the magnet method, but can get them to stick to the wall. I tried a stud finder with basically no luck. Does anyone know how big the backing plates are? I want to mount a 32” television in the living/dining area, and a 24” in the bedroom. I plan on mounting a piece of wood to the backing plate and attaching the tv bracket to that. Thanks for any help.

I believe that you have a "stick & tin" trailer, meaning conventional wood studs with aluminum siding on exterior walls. The magnet method only works with the smooth side trailers where steel sheet metal is glued in place under the interior siding. You probably have wood or plywood under the paneling for the TV support. Since you plan to add a wood backing, try using an electronic stud finder and check a larger area. Drill tiny holes first and probe with a straightened paper clip to be sure that you have solid wood before making them larger. You can get a filler to patch the tiny holes if necessary. On interior walls, you might be able to lift the paneling and peek under, if not you can use a longer wire to probe the holes and find the studs.

I also added a wood plate also. I used molly bolts and liquid nails to attach it. Just remember if it is on an outside wall that they are only 2" thick.

Yah, I think my Sportsmens Classic 19BH is less than two inches....probably not more than 1.5" if that.

I found the backing plate to be a backing stud after drilling a couple holes. Try a stud finder first. Trust me
