Has this happened to any in their unit? The cupboards above the residential fridge have a "brace" in the middle. This brace had a screw come out causing the cupboard bottom to bow. We store some cooking appliances up there but the heavy stuff is to either side.
Only way to fix this would be to pull the fridge out. Are there wheels on the back side of fridge ? Have not tired it yet as we'd have to remove everything out of the fridge. Don't want to do that unless I know I can put it out. I would go to an authorized dealer, but we're full time, and on a fixed schedule, so it's not easy to pack up, stop at a dealer and wait days, weeks or months to get in. I can do it my self, just asking if anyone has had this happen, and how hard if at all is pulling the fridge out.
Thanks.

You might be able to fix it from the top. Remove everything from the cabinet and see if you can get the cabinet bottom out. Then you could add additional support underneath and replace the cabinet bottom with some heftier plywood cut to size. Since the cabinet is so high nobody would see that anyway. Just an idea.

Depending on how long and skinny your arms are (I am built like a spider monkey) you might be able to slide in from the bottom and use a couple of those 90 degree corner angles to reattach the brace (after pushing it back up in place).

View Attachment Yeah I tried that.. even tried using an extension and L shaped attachment for my drill driver..

You can build a little box or a book that is the correct size and sit on top of the Fridge. This way the bottom of the shelve can sit on the box or book which is on the fridge. Just an Idea.
