I have a 2013 Spree 32 BHS. On one of the slide roofs I have a couple of staple working out of the roof framing due to a small amount of water that leaked in. The staples are pushing up on the roofing. What I want to know is what are the staples shot to? If its wood how thick is the wood. I want to cut the rubber and add a small amount of roof adhesive to the roof sheeting and screw it back down. Then patch the roofing with etrnabond tape. Has any one had this problem before and how did you make the repair? Thanks in advance for any information that will help me.

Just guessing here, but the staples are (were) holding the roof sheeting down to the framing, and as you mentioned, water got in and maybe rotted the framing, or rusted the staples off. Rather than cut the roofing fabric, if this is close to the side, I would remove the molding and get under the roof fabric that way, either way, once you gat under the roof fabric, I would use screws to reattach the roof sheeting. All this is based on the hope that your framing isn't rotted, so the screws have something to bite into. As far as the size of the framing, it's usually 1"X 2" or maybe 1"X 1", so not a lot in there.
