Just a little head up when winterizing using damprid crystals. I had a few of those buckets placed around my rig in my shower drain and in my stainless steel sink. The damprid container overflowed into the stainless steel sink and pitted it. It was destroyed.

Since a room or an RV needs to have gallons of water removed from the air to make any meaningful difference, what is accomplished by DampRid removing a few ounces?

It's actually calcium chloride. More corrosive than sodium chloride, regular salt. It's used on roads as a pretreat before a snow. added to regular road salt,it can melt snow and ice down to 0º. That stuff really destroys a vehicle.
