Hi, I own a 2018 Connect. While repairing some water damage, I discovered an animal was living in my trailer. The attached is what I found and did. Any comments are welcome.

We have a C241RLK as well. I noticed you mention yours is a 2018 model -- but you have the 2017 floorplan. The giveaway is the heater vent under the kitchen drawers in one of your pictures. Ours is the same -- we have the 2017 floorplan but the title says 2018. You can compare them here: www.kz-rv.com/2017-products/connect-travel-trailers/2017-C241RLK.htmlwww.kz-rv.com/2018-products/connect-travel-trailers/2018-C241RLK.htmlDifferences are: 20,000 to 30,000 BTU furnace 6 to 8 cu ft refrigerator Furnace under stove to furnace under refrigerator HWH under refrigerator to HWH under stove Heater vent under drawers to heater vent under stove We've never felt like we needed a bigger furnace. While the 8 cu ft refrigerator might be nice to have the furnace being underneath it would mess me up since I installed an electrical management system (EMS-HW30C) in that space just in front of the water heater. The power cable going to the power center ran under the refrigerator and I was able to install the EMS in-line before the power center. I put the display for the EMS inside the pantry so it is easy to access but not visible at all times. We also had leaks in all of our storage compartment doors but it was never enough to cause major water damage. I finally figured out how the water was getting in. The extrusion at the top of the door which has the hinge in it has a channel that the water was running down until it got to the spot in the metal trim where the seam was (at the center). At that point the water would get in - in spite of the fact that the caulk was fine all the way around the door. I caulked the holes at the end of each extrusion and the leaks stopped. I have a picture of where I caulked - I'll post it later. Maybe you need to caulk that as well.

Hi A1Smith, Thanks for the links and you are correct, I have a 2017 I guess. (News to me) I looked at the baggage compartments and see the seam you mention. I guess I'd better caulk that too! I'd be interested in any pictures you have about your EMS install. Thanks.
