So, we're parked for the month in Tennessee, and today it's raining. We're thinking.. why would they design "any" RV for that matter, where the awning ENDS just over the door, and where the slide out begins. When it rains, the steps get full on rained on, and the awning does not protect you one bit coming out of the door.
Example:
So, I'm not sure if there is a "temporary" solution for this or not but I'm going to have to make one I guess to go between the slide topper of starboard side couch slide and our awning. Like maybe a "mini" awning.
Am I wrong about this?

Looks just like mine and I don't have an issue, it's water and drys fast. Now the steps that fold inside, Solid Step? Not a chance that step would be gone before I took delivery. Want something solid look into the GlowSteps.

It drys fast NM or NV, back East it never dries. Our coach is the same and it is a pain when it rains. I don't think this is exclusive to KZ, but someone sure didn't figure things out before they started cutting and welding tubing. Halcareic: At least you have room for a slide topper, we don't.

The slide topper clears by a hair.. some times it'll touch. Awning arm "head" ? wiggles back and forth when going in or out. Was told that's normal?

Yeah, they will wiggle, my awning shaft is slightly bent (probably at the factory), so it hulas all over as it goes in and out.

Just checked and my 5W has two awnings, the large one to the front of the RV does cover the steps.

My 277RLT is exactly the same way. Designed by people who never camp, IMO...among other stupid things. Lyle
