Hi, We just recently purchased a 2021 160QB and I am trying to figure out the details of what "solar ready" actually means. There is a plug on the front right side of the camper labled "solar" however I can't seem to locate the other end of that connection, any wires on the inside of the camper, or anything resembling a charge controller. Is the plug simply eye wash and I need to install everything else? I'm a marine tech and quite capable of doing the wiring, I'm just trying to figure out what is supposed to be there, and where it might live, so I'm not reinventing the wheel if I don't need to.
Thanks,

Unless things have changed, you only have a connection to a cable that may be too skimpy. The other end may be near the battery, in a storage area or near the converter.

Thank you. I hadn't thought about that line going directly to the battery area. It's not in the pass through storage or by the converter, I spent some quality time checking the wires there. Based on the size of the socket on the outside of the camper I suspect you are right in assuming that the wires are undersized for anything other than a basic battery tender type panel. I'll check the connections in the battery area tomorrow.

Hi There -- Unfortunately all you have is a connecter that has a 20 amp blace fuse in line - and the end is at the battery -- Thus is set up for a portable solar panel with a an inexpensive PWM controller -- If you are considering a full solar setup -- yes - you will need to put in the full setup - and you could use this as a supplemental system

I put a meter o the plug today and it is actually connected to the battery, indicating battery voltage. I still have to chase the wires themselves to determine which breaker the positive is attached to. We're headed to Conway NH for a few days this week so I may poke around a bit while we're out.
Thanks for the replies!
