When I place a level on my tongue, it shows a slight out of level reading g. When placed on the frame further Bach, or inside the trailer it is a 100 per cent level. Is this normal for this type of trailer? Does anyone e with a similar trailer have the same issue. Ther are no signs of wear or cracks on the tongue/frame that I can see. Comments would be appreciated.

Search “bent camper tongue” on here and you’ll see some posts about them.

If you check 100 similar trailers with these cheap Lippert frames, I'll bet that 95 of them would be about the same. Keep an eye on it especially where it meets the main frame.

counter top/fridge level good to go, a slight twist in the tongue is nothing. I don't think you will find any absolutely square on the tongue one wheel on a rock and you have a high side at the tongue.

Since I am up north in Dawson Creek BC Canda on a long trip, I took the trailer to a welding shop that has experience in these things, before I headed out on Alaska's roads.they examined the trailer frame and right or wrong said it is of a poor design. The wheels are to far back putting far to much weight on the tongue/frame area, for the metal used.the result is that over time it will bend and rough roads will speed up a catastrophe failure. They suggested the tongue/frame be reinforced which I agreed to. The current small bend can't be fixed, but with the reinforcements it will be stable and safe.

I would recommend that this check, inspection be added to the list when planning a trip. It could save you a large expense and a possible serious accident. 🥴

You may have had it fixed already but I would straighten tongue rails so they are straight and level front to back. I would then weld another 2”x3” rail underneath the full length of each tongue rail. Easy to say when you have the equipment but any reinforcement is better than none at all seeing that you’re on the road. Good luck and safe travels!

Thanks that's pretty much what was done. The welder did mention that once he had the batteries and propane tanks off and the rig on Jacks, there was almost a half inch wobble/play. It fell to level with no weight on it.
So well worth the money spent and to save a possible catastrophe on the road.
An item to add to add to the maintenance check for sure.
