We just put a down payment to order our first trailer, Spree Escape 320S, last Saturday at Niagara Trailers. For our first you would think that maybe a person should start out with something not to big, 16-20ft. But we wanted bunks, kitchen, couch, eating table, queen bed and a slide out. And, when I bought my Silverado 5yrs ago I wasn't thinking about pulling a trailer anytime soon. So when we started looking for a trailer a few months ago I was shocked to realize that my truck can only pull 4700lbs. My truck has the 4.8 V8 with 3:23 gears which means 4700lbs. So after lots of research on the web and at trailer dealers I finally found KZ trailers. We were very happy to find the Escape 320S. It has everything that we want in a trailer and our truck can pull it plus an extra 1100lbs of spare weight. There are a few things that we want to upgrade once it comes in in January. But we will take care of that once it comes in. I will post some pics once it comes in. We can't wait to start using our new trailer starting May 2014. It will be a change for us as we usually pitch a tent for all of us but like change.
Does anyone have any opinions about these trailers or experiences with this model even though it is a brand new model?

Welcome to the KZ family. Just joined ourselves last September with a new to us 2010 Durango fifth wheel. The DW and I really love our KZ and we hated to put it into storage for the winter. One of the first trips was to the 1st. KZ rally in Ind. the first part of the October. I was impressed with the factory tour and how they are built. Also had a chance to see some new units and several of the other attendees allow us to look over their trailers. Understand that RV's have to be built lightweight so the extras that KZ puts into their trailers pleasantly suprised me. Best thing to have now is a dealer who understand customer service.
So, again welcome! Stay in touch, ask your questions and there are more rallys in the works.
P.S. I hope the roads are clear come January as you don't want all that road salt splashed all over underside.

Our trailer should be in January 2014 and Niagara Trailers said that we can come down and look at it and request upgrades at that time. And that they will store it until we decide on a date to pick it up. Which would be the weekend before May 24 long weekend. Which will feel like an eternity to us.

What is the weight of your new trailer? I looked on the KZ website and they don't list a 320S? I'm assuming this is a 32' trailer with a slide etc. from your original post and that sounds way heavier than your 4700 pound limit of your truck.

I made a boo boo. It's actually a E250S. It weighs in at 3800lbs and it's GVWR is 4500lbs and my truck can tow 4700lbs. So I should be good.

Gotcha, couldn't quite figure out the model and weight numbers! So it only has a maximum of 700 pounds worth of cargo? It lists a 20 gallon water tank which I would say equals almost 200 pounds alone, not to mention grey and black water. My concern is this doesn't leave a lot of room for dishes, pots, food, clothes etc. You do realize the payload of your truck is also affected by weight in the bed and in the passenger compartment also.
I find that 4700 pounds of payload seams awfully low. My old 2004 Grand Cherokee with the HO V8 was rated at 6500 and my wifes old 2000 GMC Jimmy was 5600 with a V6! I have since sold the Cherokee and have an 09 F150 rated (quite laughingly) at over 11000 pounds of towing.

I have been told by other trailer guys that you can tow with all your tanks empty. Fill them up when you get to park and empty before you leave. But this is what I have been told. I have talked to a few trailer companies and other trailer guys and they said that I should be fine pulling it. Guess I'll find out in May
