Never heard of it until today when I looked at the Family Forum. How does one get notified of such or does one have to look at the forum regularly?

It is posted in the Rally with KZ forum. Watch that section right after the first of the year. You will get the opportunity to reserve your spot then, but it fills up pretty quickly.

First you would need to make arrangements with a campground pretty far in advance to reserve enough spaces for attendees. Most campgrounds are booking a year in advance,, Try to see what interest you have from the group as to a number that will attend. Some campgrounds will hold so many spaces until a certain date for people to register themselves for a rally/get together. A Rally/Get together can be just a bunch of people getting together and hanging out, or activities can be arranged like tours, dinners, games, ect,,,,

Sure, it would be nice to meet other KZ owners in other spots (east coast, west coast) BUT- One of the main reasons of having the Rally in Shipshewana is the proximity to the KZ factory, and many other RV parts suppliers, just sayin'.

Without a doubt the large, planned events take time and effort...usually from a small group of incredibly selfless people. On the other hand, nothing wrong with saying we are going to be at "x" destination during 'x" dates and would love to see other owners...no negotiation, no committees, just show up if you want to. Food, reservations and activities are on your own:)
