With more and more rear view cameras coming on the market, it would be pretty easy for the factory to install a plastic conduit in the rear wall with a plug in the center and a backing plate in the wall just below the upper marker light. Bring the conduit out the bottom and cap it off, then the dealer or the customer can run the wiring under the bellly to the hitch. In the case of the fifth wheel unit a short conduit from the storage compartment to the pin box connection would be nice.
Seem I have seen somebody wanting to know if they could "fish" the back wall to do this. Also saw a toy hauler with the wiring running along the edge. It was done neatly, but it still exposed the wire to damage.

Over on the general section an OP has added a fusion camera, pretty slick installation...
Since there will be Kz Reps at the Kz Rally in early August this might just be the place to recommend such for future units
