Just signed paperwork for a D256RKT. They were hard to find. I have to drive to TX to pick it up. I hope the quality is better than my 2 previous RV's, a Forest River and a Pacific Coachworks.

Welcome! I’m fairly new to KZ when I picked up a D250RES last year. Other than minor issues that any manufacturer would have, it’s been great. Enjoy your new camper!

Hope you enjoy your new trailer. Where in Texas did you get it? Kirt DeMontrond RV in Conroe. So far, they have been very good to work with. We'll see, when I drive 1200 miles to pick it up, if it's been properly prepped. Right now I feel good about it.

Rear Kitchens are hard to find, love my G356RKT. If you have the two separate dumps locations you might want to look at the mod I did to make one dump location. Do a good PDI and if you can camp nearby for a day or two and see what you find before you head out. The RV dealers are not like car dealers, one of the first questions I heard looking for warranty was did we sell it to you? Lots of good helpful people here, some more than other but you'll be able to sort those out pretty quickly.

I've got a fairly thorough PDI. I have made it clear if that's possible) that I am staying at an RV park near the dealer for the night and that anything major will be expected to be fixed the following day. Supposedly they do a 24 hour burn-in, running the appliances, ac and such all day/night. Like I said, we'll see. They have been very good at sending me pictures and videos. I asked for pictures to include mechanical areas, like springs, axles, underbelly, roof, etc. I can actually use the pictures to inspect much of the RV. This is my 3rd rv but first 5th wheel.

We got a new D256RKT a few months ago. We've only been on a few weekend camping trips so far with it but it's been solid so far! Hope you enjoy your new rig!

Congratulations on the new rig and welcome to the KZ forum and family! Our previous 5er was a Forest River product and I can assure you the build quality of our Durango has been much better. Hopefully you will have the same experience. Best of luck and safe travels!
