Try as hard as I might, I can not remove the left side lp hose from my 2014 Durango 1500 LP regulator. Even using vice grips turning CC did not work. In videos the task looks so easy.
Finally ordered a new lp auto regulator with hoses included. I hope I can remove the main hose going to the main pipe on the camper. Anyone else have a hard time? Thank You, Roy

Since it's a gas system, some pipe joint compound should have been used. It works as a threadlocker. You may have to heat it up to about 400 deg. to get it to liquify and release the threads. Of course, don't apply heat when there is gas in or connected to the system.

Roy+fire=Scary! LOL
Looks like there is pipe joint compound on main hose that is attached to bottom of lp regulator. Not sure how to discharge all propane from the main hose and attached regulator before applying heat. Thank You, Rvcouple

I can say I have never had to heat an LP connection. Heating or impact is a common way to get red locktite to release & only an cruel person would use red locktite on a fitting. What probably happened is the pipe joint compound dried out and became more adhesive than sealant, that coupled with the original assembler overtightening the hose fitting is the probable cause. Bigger/ longer wrenches (more leverage) are my usual go-to.

Hello nvguy
The left side hose connection does seem screwed in more than the right side. When ready to install new regulator and main camper hose if need be, I will have my step-son gas technician by my side. I am sad I did not know my son-in-law can make hoses and has regulators at his job.
I do hope to take off a pigtail lp hose, you turn counter-clockwise.

Good idea to have a tech who understands gas piping there to help, as it's a bit different than regular plumbing connections. If he has a monometer with him then verify the new regulator is set right and do a leak check.

I installed a new regulator with the pigtail hoses going to tanks already included. Removing the old regulator from the main lp hose to camper was easy, resealed onto new regulator with a gas hookup approved sealant. Sure seemed like it to me, original pigtail hoses were not meant to be removed from original regulator.
