So we purchased our 2022 Durango 1/2 Ton 290RLT in Feb 22. We have been working on it through the remaining winter getting it ready to go camping. We noticed that the door was hella hard to close and you had to slam it. Then we went on our first trip and it seemed to get even harder to close. Looking at it, the bottom of the door was warping outwards from the outside and not flush. So I took it to my dealers service center and we found out it came with the wrong steps that were a 4 - step set-up. It did not matter how much we adjusted the feet, it always was very hard to close. So they ordered a 3 step set-up and had to drill two additional holes in the sliding rails of the feet. Now all is great and works much better. Just a heads up.

Funny you would have issues as I have a 4 step on my 2021 Durango Half Ton D250RES and all is good.

I did not like the new LCI solid step that folds inside, too much dirt, mud & water going inside. My Durango came with the folding 4 steps but they bounced when going up and down. I found these Revolution Glow Step that come in multi size to fit most RV's. They fit right into the "box" the old steps came mounted to, remove old step, 4 bolts and the new were in. There is no bounce and they are adjustable for the terrain, so far I have been in pretty level but they have adjustable feet. Loving them step link

Oh what I wouldn't give to have under-mount steps. Not a fan of the ones that have to be put inside at all. No box under ours for them to fit though. Those look great!
