Furnace

Does anyone know if the furnace runs off DC power? I couldn't get my heater to work unless we were plugged into the generator so I wasn't sure if that was normal. I was under the impression it just ran off of propane and the DC power from the battery. We have a Connect C221 RBSE. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Everything else works? Furnace should work either way. Is your battery disconnect switch in the off position?

Yes, furnace runs on DC and propane. If everything else works (or seems to) it could be your battery is either not being charged or wont take a charge. The furnace has to have sufficient voltage to spin the blower motor fast enough to allow it to ignite and produce heat. Lights and other items aren't as voltage sensitive or power hungry, so they may appear to be working OK.

Thanks! Really appreciate the help. The battery is on and its been fully charged. It's new so I guess there are always a few glitches.

Use a voltmeter to be sure.

Does the stove work? You may need to bleed air from the line to get the gas through.

Yeah, the stove works. Let me try that next time and see how it goes.
