Howdy,

I bought my Durango 333 RLT last year and added the Ford back up camera and TPMS system so that it would work with my truck.

I hadn't installed the TPMS until I tried today. Seems that the TPMS stems aren't the correct size for the holes in my rims on my camper. I was wondering if

anyone else had experienced this and if they knew of some remedy. I guess the TPMS stems ford provides are made for wheels with J type flange wider than 3.5 inches and
a .452 inch valve stem hole.

I went to the dealer, but they didn't really know what to tell me. I don't know what type of flange the wheels on my camper have, but I don't think Ford has others. I figured I would throw this on

here in case somebody knows anything about this issue.

I have been thinking about the Ford system, so your post caused me to do some research. I assume the valve stem hole in you wheels is to small? I was wondering if that would be an issue. Apparently it is. The J type flange doesn't seem to be, as the dimensions between the J and JJ aren't all the different, and the J seems to be pretty common. Here is chart that explains the differences in flange dimensions. Since drilling the valve stem holes to a larger diameter doesn't seem like a good idea, replacement wheels with the larger valve stem hole might be an answer, you can always sell your original wheels to recover some of the cost.

I think the hole in the camper rims is too big in diameter what I
May look into is if there is a valve stem that will fit the rim that I can put the sensor on.

took me a couple tries but I wanted to include a the pic the shop sent me showing the size difference between the two.

Sure looks like the valve stem is to small, Back when I was more involved in the tire world I remember the metal valve stems came with two different sized rubber gaskets for this exact situation. I guess they don't offer that anymore or it wont work with with the TPS stems.
