What you guys using for tonneau covers on your truck when not towing 5th?? I purchased a tri-fold but it is very apparent it will interfere with the nose of the 5th when tight corners & any kind of incline are involved! I have 6" under nose of trailer to truck bed rail but less than 3" to tonneau cover when folded. I sure like the security of the solid tri-fold compared to a roll-up but don't see any other option....well maybe to completely remove before hooking to trailer Also a roll up has a track that attaches to the top of bed rail (I believe) which decreases clearances.

I have an Access Literider soft roll up cover. Never concerned about security and it’s basically just to keep firewood dry while camping and snow out of the box in winter. While towing I roll it up completely and buckle it in place. You can’t leave these half rolled up but I’m fine with that.

I see they have a rail, how high is the rail? I boondock a lot so clearance is a premium.

You didn't specify the truck and bed length. My trifold is dry and requires no mounts on top or inside of the bed rails. I have a couple of inches more clearance underneath as well. This is on an 8 foot bed, no fiver clearance issues at all. The unit is an Extang Solidfold. Not as convenient or secure as my old RollNLock but I like the trade off. None of these things are a deterrent to a committed thief.

Access does have the Lorado with 1” and the Vanish with 1/2”. I only mentioned Access as I had the Original on my 2009 for 5 years, an Original on my 13 Silverado for 8 years and now the Literider on my 13 Sierra for a year now. They held up quite well being closed whenever I’m not towing.
